The Scentsy Spring Sprint will consist of regional “mobile meetings” to be held in major locations throughout the U.S. so that as many Consultants as possible can attend.

Scentsy plans to visit 24 U.S. cities from late January through late February 2011. More than 3,000 Scentsy Consultants and guests attended the World Tour events in 2009-2010, but the Spring Sprint is estimated to reach 23,000 Consultants.

Each one-day stop will include a leadership event, a field event with corporate training, and a sneak preview of the new Spring/Summer 2011 products and business tools.

A Scentsy Success Store will be at every location.

The Spring Sprint is scheduled for January 22 through February 19, 2011. Cities were selected based on how convenient they were to the most Consultants. In fact, 80 percent of Scentsy Consultants live within a four-hour drive of one of these cities. The 2010 Scentsy National Convention just wrapped up in Denver. Convention kicked off the 2010 Fall/Winter season, and August is transition month. It’s a perfect time to join Scentsy and earn money running your own home-based business.

There are ton of great reasons to join Scentsy in August, but here are # that make it a perfect time to start a Scentsy business.

1. Scentsy Starter Kits include 2010 Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter catalogs and testers. New consultants who join in August will get BOTH catalogs and testers. Scentsy has announced they will discontinue the Scentsy Basket Testers. In March 2010, Scentsy introduced the Mini Testers as an alternative to the Basket Testers.

“Due to the popularity of Mini Testers, the declining sales of Basket Testers, and informal focus groups conducted at Scentsy events, we decided to discontinue the sale of Basket Testers beginning with the Fall / Winter 2010 transition which begins on August 1, 2010,” Scentsy announced in an email to consultants.

The Basket Testers will no longer be available to purchase after July 31, 2010. “We believe, and sales have shown, that the Mini Testers are a more economical, portable, and shippable alternative to Basket Testers,” the company said.

Scentsy just enrolled its 100,000th consultant. The state of Texas has around 12,000-15,000 active consultants, and the market for candle warmers is getting more crowded here in the Lone Star State.

I’m not sure what it’s like in other states, but in the Dallas area, we are seeing more and more Scentsy-like candle warmers in retail stores like Walmart. I was at a mall a couple days ago and something in the window of a store caught me eye. It was a new store – one of those home decor froo-froo stores. There in the window were two plain-looking warmers. But the sign between the warmers identified them as “Electric Potpourri Burners.” But the potpourri was wax.

The warmers had holes in them, but it the tops didn’t appear to come off. I didn’t go in to check the price, and I didn’t see any wax bars. The flameless candle warmer concept is, well, heating up. Direct selling is huge in Texas, and the market is booming here. While competition is growing, everything I’ve seen so far pales in comparison to Scentsy quality and variety.
